Kelli & JP’s Wedding at Grand Pre in Kings County, NS
Chefs, foodies, business owners, entrepreneurs, risk takers, laughers and lovers. It was hard to pick through these images and not just show you a full collection of David + Susan looking at each other and laughing and smiling. If there was wedding day stress, we didnt see it. This was one of those backyard weddings […]
Emily & Wes’ Wedding in Mahone Bay, NS Shot by Ash & Rich
Serendipity means a “fortunate happenstance” or “pleasant surprise”. Through an unfortunate series of events, a September date had opened up for us last year and we found ourselves in a position to turn a negative into a positive. We decided to offer up our services, free of charge, for a yet to be determined couple […]
Jaime was the MOST relaxed bride I have ever photographed. That’s right, THE MOST. She let almost everything be decided by someone else. Seriously. She let a small child choose her gown (don’t worry it was from BHLDN!), her groom chose her shoes, her decorator did the decor, her mother chose her earrings. She didn’t go […]
Hair + Makeup: Alicia Melanson / URBAN 30 Venue: Sugar Moon Farm
When Natalie’s mother said to her after the ceremony that it had been the most beautiful wedding she had ever attended, and she wasn’t just saying that because it was her daughter’s, I had to echo that sentiment. It was beautiful in so many different aspects. First, the location. If you haven’t heard of Minister’s […]
Sometimes we shoot a 16 hour wedding day and sometimes we shoot a 3 hour wedding day. Melinda and Ryan (and Henry, of course) came back to Nova Scotia for a visit and decided to get married right in the living room, with family and friends right there with them. I love shooting these small, […]
I tried to write a blog post to go with these images last night at midnight but the crushing pressure that the girls were going to wake up many hours before the sun had me fleeing to bed. I don’t know if you know this or not but I was a biology major in university […]
“Lemme do just one more shot.”
The last time we shot with Robert + Magda it was freezing. Cold bitter winds brought tears to our eyes and I swore we’d shoot again under warm sunny skies. So we waited 3 months for sun and decided on settling for warmth alone. I’m looking forward to this wedding for three reasons. 1. there […]
When we met Jana + Jeremy about their wedding a few months ago Jeremy told us he was a bit of a pyro and could get access to fireworks. I know there are boxes and boxes of fireworks set aside for the wedding so we had to do some testing shooting with them.
Hoops (as we now affectionately call her) said she wanted to do a boudoir shoot or something like it. We had some rooftop access over looking all of Halifax and the rain held off just long enough to get outside and shoot for 10 minutes.
A few from Tom + Nicolle’s wedding on Saturday nite at the Carleton in Halifax.
