you know when you’re home w the kids and a little time goes by and you realize you haven’t heard a peep and then you look around and realize the baby is covered in honey and marshmallows and the dogs could not be happier? well, thats kind of whats been going on around here the last few days.
no, Lola is not covered in honey and marshmallows but we’re definitely up to something.
change.
the more things become the same, the more I want to change it all up. so thats exactly what we’re doing.
I’ve wanted to shoot boudoir photography for a long time but, in very un-me fashion, i put it off.
then I ran in to Eric and Amber in New York City. We drank tequila, ate salsa from odd places and played bingo. 8 days later I’ve assembled a first class team of boudoir rock stars.
Nirah Villeneuve will be working on all of the boudoir shoots as a professional stylist. Are you kidding me? She’s pretty much a movie star! She also spends her working days on costume design for movie and television…and she’s got a tickle trunk of vintage 20s, 30s and 40s accessories.
Vicky Mina, an amazingly talented make up artist, has also agreed to be a part of this. Vicky blew me away at Mike + Anita’s wedding w her make up skills. I think it was one of the bridesmaids who said, “I look like a really super hot version of me” after Vicky was done w her.
We’re also working on some very unique locations around the city to shoot. The kind of places you won’t find just walking off the street.
our intention is to blow your mind with what Eric calls ‘straight up elegance and female empowerment’.
this isn’t the kind of shoot where you do your own hair and walk away with a 5×7 print for your nightside table. we’re talking professional hair and make up, your own professional stylist, boutique locations and custom designed albums.
luxury boudoir sessions.
…in the meantime, here’s a slideshow of Cheryl’s three part Trash the Dress session we did all over Halifax for 5 weeks.
